Turkmenistan Transit Visa

Hello,

I asked for a transit visa for Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan from entering and exiting from Kazakhstan, and I was denied.

The embassy told me that they can not give it to me because I can get into Kazakhstan from Uzbkistan.

But they are also in possession of visa of Russia, I ask anyway?
and then once had the Turkmenistan transit visa I headed to the Kazakhistan. are risks to emerge from a point other than that indicated?

How else could I do? Do not want to move from Uzbekistan, I've traveled all over the last year.

Greetings.

I'm not quite sure what you mean mate,

but you could ride from Uzbekistan into Kaz? or through Kyrgyzstan i guess is also an option? or from Uzbek, into Tajikistan and then into Kyrgyzstan and into Kaz? or from Uzbek, into Turkmenistan, a ferry to Baku and then a ferry to Kaz?

I have no idea why you would subject yourself to the last one but i guess its an option,

Ben

No, from Uzbekistan, I want to enter in Turkmensitan, trinsit up to Bekadash, and enter in Kazakhstan.
I will not go into Kazakhstan from Uzbekistan, because I've already done 2 times.
In Azerbaijan I can not go, because I have the passport, the visa of Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.

Ride the Pamir? and then enter from Kygyzstan?

Ben Douglas 9 Aug 2013 10:08

Also, im not sure what sort of riding your into, but Turkmenistan is a boring ride. Really boring. And expensive. The Pamir highway however...

to the contrary, before the Pamir, then Turkemenistan

They wont issue a transit visa because you do not need to travel through the country. A transit visa is only issued for you to travel through a country that is effectively 'in the way'. You could transit if you went to Iran or Azerbaijan but the way they see it is 'why do you need to go through Turkmenistan when Kaz/Uzb has an open border'. Transit is transit. Get a tourist visa if you really want to visit that badly.

Yes, I have seen, it is impossible to obtain.
There is a possibility of obtaining a tourist visa, without a local guide?

I dont think so mate, as always, Dave at Stantours is probably the best person to talk to.

Its an interesting place to visit, but I cant say I would recommend bending over backwards to get a visa. There is much better riding in the area. There are also 100 dollars of extra charges when you enter which are a kick in the teeth.

If you don't want to ride the Pamir again, the direct route from Dushambe to Osh is supposedly open to Foreigners at the moment (although its a bit of a risk).

Ben, I will arrive from the Pamir, then go into Uzbekistan and ride in Turkmenistan .... if you're talking about the border Karamik, I've been there last year, and was open (no visa kyrgyzystan-October 2012)
