Travelling to Japan on 50cc motorscooter

Folks,

I'm headed to Japan on the 15th, and back on April 3rd. I'll be renting a friend's 50cc motorscooter, and plan to take things nice and slow. Only real concern is the International Driver's License which I just got.

My trip starts in Hiratsuka. I will ride along the southern coast until I get to Toyohashi, take the ferry over to Mie, check out the Suzuka Circuit (hopefully will luck into some racing practise), then stop at a friend's in Kyoto. Then it's off to Tottori and Matsue which is likely as far as I'll get before having to head back to Hiratsuka. Pretty ambitious for 10 days of riding, I'd say.

So, what is your question?
If your IDL is valid for the vehicle you are driving and it has all the paperwork you have nothing to worry about.
I know someone who has driven around the world on a scooter. It'll get you where you are going... Just not fast.

I think the ambitious part is racing the Suzuka Circuit on a 50cc scooter.
