Tires in Baku

Any info on tire sellers/shops in Baku, or contacts who will accept a shipment of tires for me? Currently in Turkey, will be in Baku 6/25 on way to Turkmenbashi and ultimately Mongolia. Riding a BMW G650GS single, needing 100/90 -19 front and 130/80-17 rear.

Thank you

Thanks, Samy, that is what I had to do. Had some shipped to me from Izmir while still in Cappadocia. I now look like the Beverly Hillbillies with tires strapped on the top of my gear.

Also, the only place I could find a battery to fit the G650GS was the Harley Davidson store. There, they think batteries are gold plated, charging 203 Manat for the battery. It will cost about the same for the ferry across the Caspian!

Thank you for the advice.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
