Tajikistan Embassy in Bishkek

Hi.
I have 2 different addresses for the Tajikistan embassy in Bishkek Kyrgyzstan.
Does anyone know the correct address and maybe a GPS ref too?
I have done the embassy search and this is giving me a different address to the one which is: Kara-Dar'inskaya 36......

many thanks

From here: Radio Baobab » Kyrgystan

In bishkek we applied for our Tajikistan visum and our GBAO permit. 60US$ + 50som per person. 3 days processing time. Visa is valid for 30 days. Ask specifically for a GBAO permit. The consul generally gives all regions, but make sure you check it (names are in LP). GBAO permit is free.

They keep your passport, make sure you have a photocopy of your passport. The consul then writes on the copy that your passport is in the embassy (you’ll need this on police checks)

The embassy was located here: N 42° 50,860 E 74° 37,756

Above information is from Sep 2007.

Enjoy Bishkek, nice town!

Kyrgyz Travel, to the right hand side opposite the Presidential Palace, can organize the Tajik visa within 24 hours. Ask for Mrs. Saltanate. Very good service.

If you get there and find the Embassy has moved (which seems to be a fairly regular occurrence in this part of the world) then Sakura Guesthouse is always a good source of info on the ins and outs of visa applications and Embassies in Bishkek as well as having a secure garage to keep the bikes in and work on them.

Good Luck.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
