Where to buy tyres?

Anyone purchased tyres in Uzbekistan/Tajikstan?

I'll be coming from Europe on a 650 Transalp through Turkey and Iran. The bike currently has Metz Tourance front and back and I'm thinking of changing to Mitas E-07's or similar before hitting the Pamir Hwy and going onto Mongolia.

Would I be better off buying in Europe and carrying them with me (I'd really rather not) or is there an option to buy in Samarkand/Dushanbe?

Thanks, Tom.

Tires

Hi Tom. I have not heard of tires in Dushanbe. We do have some tires (SHINKO E700) in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, this may help you to travel light.

Hi Patrik,

Thanks for the info, unfortunately we will be starting the Pamir Hwy from Dushanbe heading toward Osh so I need to get the tires before then.

I will definitely look you up in Osh though maybe for repairs/service?

Hi Daze. I do have a contact in Dushanbe. I can try to send him a set of tires if you want.
On what date will you pass Dushanbe?
