Shipping parts to Russia from USA
 

Just passing along info about my experience. I needed a crankshaft for my KLR650 in Ulan Ude, Russia. I bought it on eBay. It was shipped from Oregon on USPS June 17th. It was shipped out of US Customs in San Francisco June 20th.On July 2nd it cleared customs in Moscow. It is in Ulan Ude now, and is supposed to be delivered within an hour. With USPS the only tracking you really have is in the USA. ? Then it's turned over to the Russian mail service.

I order stuff regularly to Kyrgyzstan and pretty much all of it goes through Russia. I joke with my wife about the tracking abyss. Ordered a tutoro oiler from England and got a play by play of where it was going. No less than 7-10 movements just in the UK, then it went Heathrow to Moscow...the last post said, "Tomoscova"(sic). A month and a half later it actually arrived!
