RUSSIA. For you - Passport with valid Visa.
For your vehicle - Driving Licence + IDP, V5 Registration Document and Insurance (either Green Card or local insurance bought near border).

No carnet required in Russia and I am pretty certain not in Mongolia or Kaz either. Others will confirm.

Tip. Ensure your visa is sufficient in terms of numbers of entry and validity period. Being Russia things seldom go to plan. Big trouble if you try to exit after it has expired (fines and possibly no more Visas). Vehicle Temporary Import papers can easily be extended, but not Visas. Visas would have to be applied for again from outside Russia. Although you must leave, the vehicle could remain if still in the period granted. But you have to be out by the Visa expiry deadline anyway!

To Russia get multi entry one year visa it's easy and you can go in and out when you want and unlimited entrys in one year time. So no worry of expiry deadline.
Mongolian visa you can get from Mongolian embassy or consule they issue that max three (3) months in advance. Just chek what kind you want single or double entry.
Kaz visa is most pain they have many different kinds and prosessing will take atleast three (3) weeks for double entry. You can also use transit visas.

In those countreys you don't need Carne.
