Russian transit visas

I intending to tour the Baltic this summer and am currently planning on entering Russia three times. 1)Norway - Murmansk - Finland 2)Finland - St Petersburg - Estonia 3)Lithuania - Kaliningrad - Poland. Normally this involves a multiple entry business visa. But I would like to know if it would be possible to do it using transit visas picked up en route. It would be a lot cheaper and would allow for any changes to the trip. None of the Russian trips would exceed the maximum of 3 days. But being on a motorbike do I have to prove that I will leave Russia within the alloted time. Anyone have any ideas. I am waiting for replies from a couple of visa companies.

I think you have just managed to maximise your visa expenses....The 72 hour rule that would allow you to cross CIS and former USSR states with a valid visa for the next is finished by all accounts. Eg going through Kygystan enroute to Kazakstan from Uzbekistan etc.

I am not aware of transit visas for Russia, but someone here should have some info.

Your best solution may be a multiple entry business visa and it may be the cheapest, othrewise its LOI's for every tourist visa for every entry.

You are given papers for the motorbike and must buy insurance at the border. The bike will have to leave with you within the time frame of your visa. You cannot leave without the bike in normal circumstances.
