russian loi

Does the russian embassy in london require the original 3mth buss.loi, or will a copy suffice, for a uk passport holder.
I,ve had some conflicting advice.

The person issuing an invitation must submit their Invitation the Ministry in Russia.

The Ministry in Russia 'accepts' the invitation and issues to the person a Certificate confirming this.

The inviting person receives the Ministry's Certificate and gets it to you (DHL or unreliable post or via people travelling you know) and you add it to your documents being submitted.

It is possible to short cut the paper transfers by gettin the Ministry to send a Telex to the Embassy in which case you quote the telex details (date etc) when applying to your local Embassy.

LOI / russia visa in the US

For those in the US:

We just got our 6 month multiple entry visa's for Russia. We used PVS International (Virginia) and they did a great job. 10 working days for the LOI @ $200, 10 working days for the visa $150, $50 processing fee for PVS and $30 to ship my passport back. No fuss, no problems, actual times better than promissed, great help in getting the paperwork done right.

PVS International, Jean did the work for us.
