Riding around the Caspian - weather?
 

I'm planning a trip with a few friends to ride around the Caspian (north to south or Russia/Kazakhstan to Iran) from the UK.

My main question is what is the earliest you could depart from the UK or the latest? If we left in mid-April will the snows have cleared by the time we turn up? Say it takes us two or three weeks to get to Kazakhstan?

Or say we left in early September would that be a problem? ?c? We are at the point about deciding when and then we can do rest of the plan.

I know weather is variable but some rough timings from the collective experience here would be appreciated.
