Returning for bike in UB - Passport Question
 

Hi everyone,

In 2011 I left my motorcycle in UB at the Oasis Guesthouse and plan to return for it this summer. My passport has marked in it that I entered by motorcycle but no one at customs on my flight out of UB raised a finger about me leaving the country without it.

From what I understand I am technically supposed to import the bike in order to leave it in Mongolia for a long period of time.

My concern is now returning (by airplane) to UB this coming summer. Has anyone had a similar experience leaving and returning for a vehicle in Mongolia? What sorts of issues may I expect encountering when I return?

Would you advise bringing a new passport without the old entrance stamp in it? Or is it likely not to be a problem...
