Just wait they will open it before you get there.
There is troubles in the area you know and situations changes day to day.
So be patient and calm make plan B & C that helps when you need change it. :thumbup1:

Hi guys,
As you are still writing on my thread, I wish to let you know that I did the Pamir highway august 2010
From Dushanbe to Ayni the tarmac is good, and by the end of august the Anzob tunnel was much better (tarmac and more lights.... Sigh!)
The worst part of road from Ayni to Penjikent, was off road for 50 km f rom Ayni to Gusar
P.s. X Holy Graal : cheers from HU italian meeting 2010 and have a good trip to samarkand!
