Mongolia Altai - Foot and Mouth
 

Has anybody travelled into Mongolia from the Russian Altai recently?

The border was apparently closed for 5 days (when they were going to then reassess) due to foot and mouth disease. Also, travel around near Olgii is also restricted.

Any updates? I'm heading that way, although still a good couple of weeks away so I suspect (hope) it'll be fine by then...

I entered Mongolia on the 9th of July at Kosh Agach.

The Border war closed from the 10th to the 14th because of Nadaam Festival.
We entered during dthe Quarantaine and had only to go through the quarantaine stations ( 3 or 4 on the way to Khovd )

So the desease was not the problem
