LOI for Turkmenistan (TRANSIT or at least without guide)
 

Hi guys,

I'm having a bit of a problem here. I need a Letter of Invitation for a Turkmenistan Transit visa.

TM embassy in Vienna says: a LOI for a transit visa is DEFINITELY possible, and DEFINITELY necessary. They also say that having a guide is NOT mandatory.

Problem is:
Those tour operators that have come back to me all want to sell a whole tour/tourist visa with a mandatory guide. They all say "LOI only for Tourist visa, not for Transit".

Does anyone know of a tour operator (or hotel, or anyone else) who will issue a LOI for us, WITHOUT all the tour/guide add-on? (I'm happy to book accommodation with them, though).

Sorry for the late reply but my friend and I obtained a transit visa for Turkmenistan without LOI. We explained the situation (i.e. bikes etc...) and they gave it to us by post.
Try a bit more and explain your situation, they were super friendly with us.
