Kyrgystan, China, KKH weather

Hello,

I've got a limited amount of time, a couple of months probably, to ride from the UK to India. Because of the Iran situation the route is looking to be Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, India.

From a weather point of view what is the earliest time in the year that such a route would be practical, on a bike?

Would I be right in saying that the top of the KKH would be the deciding factor, or are the 'Stans worse?

Thanks very much.

Kyrgzstan would be as bad as the KKH, late May is probably the earliest that the Pamir Highway will open up so I would imagine it will be the same over there. There is no hard and fast time though and weather patterns are getting all messed up now. Last year we had snow in October, this year we had 31 degree heat?!?
