Kazakhstan embassy in Ulaanbaatar Problems
 

Just to let you know...

The Kaz embassy here in UB is not issuing visas currently - the guy who does it is now ill and no-one knows when he will be back.

I was told to try again in 2 weeks.

(and 10 days ago when I first tried to apply, I was told it was closed until today for holidays).

Not quite sure how I'm going to get into central Asia now... might have to fly into Krygyzstan (where no visa is required). Major pain in the a*@e.

I think there is a consulate in Omsk. Not sure if you are going that way or not. Might be wort trying to get in touch with them. Try googling it...
