Insurance at Nuijamaa on the Finland/Russia Border
 

In 2005, when I visited Russia, I bought car insurance for Russia at a small booth inside the Raja Kaapa shop at Nuijamaa. The working hours were about 9-5 weekdays and 9-2 saturdays closed sundays at that time.
I just looked on Google Earth and the shop is THERE...

Just create a place marker with these co-ords to get straight there - zoom out a bit and you'll have a map to find the shop.

Now I don't guarantee the booth still exists, but it was there in 2005 august and since they do quite a business at the border, I expect its still there.
