import taxes in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan?
I'm planning on having some parts and tires shipped DHL from Germany to either Tashkent, Uzbekistan or Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Does anyone know about import taxes or other concerns involving such a shipment?

Hi there
Unfortunately not sure about those countries, but we just received a small part for our car in Kazakhstan. I would think the process/fees might be similar. The parts are worth AU$225, and we paid custom fees etc of approx AU$180. The items arrived in Almaty on 26 Sept and it cleared through customs on 14 Oct. We would still be waiting if it wasn't for the help of some friends we have in Almaty who are lawyers. It was shipped with the Oz postal courier service and cleared in Almaty with DHL. It might be easier in the countries you've mentioned, but I personally doubt it. Maybe someone with first hand experience can say for sure...
