I have 3 sets of brand new tires availble in Novosibirsk

I have the following available in Novosibirsk:

90'90 - 21 M/C 54H TL Heidenau K60 front, 3 each
130/80 - 17 M/C 65H TL Heidenau K60 rear, 3 each

These were just recently shipped to Novosirsk, brand new, never been used. Due to cancellation of the remainder of our trip (bike problem) these tires are available, all or part, in a fire sale. Make me an offer, 50 cents on the dollar or best offer.

These are the longest lasting tires for a central asia trip, semi knobbies, dual sport. Same as Mefo Explorers.

am tempted to offer for at least one of the front tyres ... but as for the rears, there are plenty of Japanese bikes and F650s that go across and should be interested in 17 inch tyres. They are normally a tough size to find in Russia.

But I would urge you to explore every avenue re trying to fix the wiring ... even shipping a loom in if you have to, from Germany, as a last resort.

The wires should all be colour coded and matchable to an auto-electrician. Assuming visa timing is an issue, consider doing it in Uzbekistan / Tashkent. I am not there so cant really comment, but the mentality re fixing things in that part of the world is very different to that in the west. Most problems we would give up on, they insist is fixable. I would urge you to seek a local auto electrician or two to ask if they can sort out the wires. For sure they will be able to fix a lot more than you think ... the only question is "is that enough?".

Keep trying is my advice.:thumbup1:

ps ... even if the bikes brain is fried, the worst that can happen is you fix the wiring much cheaper in that part of the world than in Europe or North America.

What can I say, I am speechless!! I wrote Dean, the guy I bought the tires from and asked him if he would restock for 50 cents on the dollar. No reason for him to do so, but I figured I try. He wrote me back today and said that that was too much of a restocking fee and he will send me 70% of my money back, although he had shipped the tires to Novosibirsk, they are not even in his own place anymore.

For tires in Russia go to:

Denis Panferov.
