Getting into South Korea

I hear that its easier to ship from South Korea to Australia and was planning on taking the ferry from vlad to S. Korea.

I have read that people have used their Carnet to enter Korea although it does not seem to be on any list. So the next question is, if they don't accept a carnet how much import duty would they charge?

I don't particularly want to travel in South Korea, its only for onward shipping. which option would be more cost effective? I hear shipping into and out of vlad is a ball-ache!

We would need a 20ft standard container.

any advice as I have no idea what I am doing yet.

cheers,

G

No CDP required for south korea, just temp import. Contact Wendy Choi wendychoi2 (at) gmail (dot) com.

It is pretty straight forward - btw apparently it is well worth doing some touring there.

Will keep an eye on this as planning to do the reverse trip.

Thanks Craig,

I found some old posts about it to. Will contact Wendy for a rough price and feasibility, also about onward shipping of a 20ft container to Aus from there.

Thanks :thumbup1:

A RORO might be cheaper and there are plenty running to Aus from there.
