Getting from Japan to US

Hi,

Sorry to hijack a mainly motorbike forum, but it seems like you guys seem to know a lot about what I need to know!

Anyway here is my situation.

I am moving to Florida, so I thought before I leave I would take time out and go travelling again, I wanted to drive to Mongolia but then I thought, why not keep going and actually drive to Florida. Assuming I make it to Mongolia I then need to get to the Russian coast and then get my car to USA somehow.

The only way I can find is to get a ferry from Vlad to Japan, then get a ferry or freight container from Japan to US somewhere. I am just struggling to find out the information I need like which Japanese port, how much, and more importantly how long...

If anyone could help I would be very happy, thanks!

A few of us are looking to share a 40ft long container from Korea(Busan) to Mexico.
We'd be leaving Korea early to mid September 2007.
The reason we are choosing Mexico is that for entry into the US for foreign registered vehicles is probably easier via a land route than arriving at a seaport.
