DUSTY WOBBLS (Wanderlust Old Boys Biking & Leisure Society) ry

DUSTY WOBBLS is HORIZON UNLIMITED FINLAND JOROINEN Community

FIN2PAMIR ADVENTURE TOUR 2010 will commence soon

ROUTE PLANING AND JOURNEY PREPARING 28 000km and 18 countries 3 months

I commence first route scenario on summer 2008 and go over all kind of information available and checked out what kind of journey I can do on three months off.
Project planning has been started in the autumn 2008 and I have been bit busy and I'm still. Bike modification took lot of time more on that on bike mod section.I have collect documentations for forthcoming journey and examined data, documents and maps etc. carefully. Information is stored to web and many other places and will be available when need it.
When you are planing that kind of journey it will take hell of lot time to search all kind of information, charts, visas, permits, border crossing, fueling, service, spares, etc. to be even slightly prepared.
I have collect more than 850 files of documents more than 350 charts and over 100 GPS routes to net server to use for planing and on the road.
Hopefully those long night hours what I have spend opposite of the screen over thees year and went over the data will be recompenses some sunny Sunday when on way.

Many thanks for all these peoples how have write to HUBB and have they web sites where I had collect information, hints, routes etc. that data has been very valuable during planing stage of the journey.
Route is ready-to-go with many alternative trails. Winter in the area has been difficult "zud" like locals call it and there is lot of snow what means that there will be lot of floods coming later in spring when melting waters pours down from the mountains. That can make some trails difficult or impossible to ride but I try to take into consideration and have planed alternative trails go around if need it.

You can follow our tour from FIN2PAMIR

FIN2PAMIR Tour blog ( Will be updated by home staff and me when I have access)

FIN2PAMIR Blog is open (Will be updated when on the road hopefully)

Elukka 57

Riders who enjoy exploring the most deserted areas on earth are offered an extremely capable adventure motorcycle that will complete with all of their riding needs thanks to its low weight, long travel suspension and versatile chassis. Getting out of trouble is no problem for the ELUKKA 57 Adventure as it features the LC4 engine.

It's slim

Low center of gravity

Bike is only 18 cm wider / side than pegs and as wide as bar with spare tyres it's 3 cm / side wider.
Actually we have also tank side bags so bikes is the same wide front and aft.

With this set up it's beautiful to ride feels like with out luggage and all the gears and stuff loaded.

Load:
  • Fuel 32 liter
  • Water 5 liter
  • Tent, sleeping bag, mattress
  • Food for 20 days
  • Cooking equipment's
  • Spare parts
  • Spare tyres + inners
  • Clothes
  • ETC.
I thing I achieve what I was looking for
MORE info of the modification and up coming FIN2PAMIR journey

Kaz police

Beware of Kaz police when going to Kyrgestan last 50 km is full of radars that they can collect money to they pockets.
They stpo you and some way or other after 5min they have pic of you with over speed.
We ride with my pal and same speed they stop my pal how was after me he ask to see pic of me and speed was 46km/h to him they found 64km/h and ask 8000Teng or they must go to station. My pal have only 5000Teng so that was ok to them.
So it's better to go to station because they don't gone quite good bussines for so long time.

Same happend to me in in Kaz two times and Russia once but I just wait that they will give me ticket but they didn't and just after and 1/2 hour say go away.

Kyrgystan situation

Karakol 16 July 2010

Situation in Kyrg is normal most of probaganda in media is from former president and his KAz supporters and related bussines mans paid things. They want that Kyrg economy will go down and they can come back.

All police and bussines peoples in KZ told that you will be killed when entering to Kyrg so nice and smart ....

I meet one police from Osh and he told that every thing is now ok there.
Many blocks are burned down and town looks ugly peoples are really friendly and try to keep up good mood and relationships to foriners.
