entering russia via latvia.
 
hello all. anyboby no if its possible to enter russia via latvia.i know its ok in belarus and finland.would rather enter at latvia if possible.as i would like to visit lithuania and estonia then shoot up to st petersberg from latvia any info would be appreciated with thanks paul.

You can certainly do it from Estonia, the russian town is Ivangorod. I believe you can also cross from Latvia, NE of Riga.

hello simmo thanks for your reply. i spoke to the russian consulate in london this morning and they said it was ok.i think ijust have to have a visa to enter latvia thanks anyway paul

hello there again, just spoke to somebody at the latvian embassy and they said if you are british you dont need visa,s to enter the baltic states now since they all joined the eu at the end off 2003 cheers thanks again paul.
