I'm planning to cross from Baku to Turkmenbashi

What's the latest news?? Also any tips on Visa dates I need to put down?

The Turkmenistan transit visa is 5-7 days I believe? How do I work around a 3-5 day wait for a ferry??

We'll risk it.....far cheaper than Iran.

Just be ready with a plan B in case things doesn't go as you want.
A multi entry visa to Kazakhstan can help, as some boats go to Aktau

We drive around, see no value in transit AZ, waiting few days in a harbour and transit Turkmenistan. Better drive to Astrachan and down via Kazakstan Uzbekistan.
