carnets requirement???

Hi,

I came to realise that there is no motoring association of any kind in countries like Kazakhstan, krygystan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Does that mean that you do not need a carnet to geting your bike into these countries? What do they check for when you cross the borders? I intend to rent a bike in Kazakhstan, do a ride looping into the neighbouring stans and then back to Kazakhstan. Is it feasible? Will I have problem with the bike at the borders?

Cheers.
