Border open? Karakol - Almaty and insurance question
Hi,
Does anyone know about this border if it's open or not? I'd like to do this route from Karakol to Almaty instead of going back to Bishkek again. Also, I have again no possibility to insure my old Mercedes, at the border the woman wrote it on the customs control paper and said that I was insured. Funny of course, but I think I need to buy a polis again. I am also thinking about letting it, but as always, IF something happens, I'm banging my head against the wall.. Jurgen
