Advice, assistance?
 

I am wondering if someone here might be able to help me. In March of 2007 I attempted to import a bike to Russia. Air freighted from Canada to Moscow but then was unable to arrange the temporary permit. I then contacted a broker who investigated but to actually clear it would have cost $10,000 USD plus storage which they estimated at another $3000.00. Considering the bike was only worth $3000 I decided to abandon it. I received a letter in May from the airport which one of my Russian co-workers told me said the bike had been seized as unclaimed cargo.
One of my co-workers in Moscow checked a couple month ago though and told me the bike is still at the Sheremetyvo and I could get it if I had proof of ownership. If I could arrange this for a reasonable sum I would like to do it but have no idea who to contact or how to go about it.
I work a rotation in the Orenburg oblast and spend very little time in Moscow. I could arrange to spend some time there in early October if there was a chance of success.
