where to buy a chain ?

I need a new chain soon and am wondering where to buy it.
Which state is the ceapest? Or should I wait untill I reach Canada.
I,m in Boulder, Colorado now.

I need a DID O-ring 525 - 124 pins.

Here the price is around 150 USD which seems a lot.
Any sugestions?

$150 is MSRP on that chain. Its a 525, so the price is more. You would pay half that for a 520... since you require more than 122 links, then you will need to buy one with 130 and trim to fit. Do you really NEED a DID? I've had really good experiences with EK O-Ring chains (also made in Japan) which will cost you under $100.

Prices for parts like this in Canada are usually not cheaper, but service usually costs less than the states. It will probably work out to the same price in the end if you have the shop install it for you.

Thanks,

I don,t need a DID, but I need a chain that I trust. I know a 520 is cheaper, but I don,t need a 520, I need a 525.
I guess I just buy one here. Ofcouse I do not pay for service... It takes me a few minutes to change it and I don,t really trust mecanics (to many screw-ups).

But thanks for the info.
