Hi Skyrider

My understanding is that the address is only required as a place to send the rego papers and that you don't have to prove residence. I don't know this for sure however, but will find out in a couple of months!

Also this is my understanding for California, and may be different for other states.

Mens Street Bike Gear - Chaparral Motorsports
Mollydog offered a great suggestion about Chaparral Motorsport store. I don't know where you're staying once you get to California. However, it is not just east of Los Angeles. Its about 60 miles away and we don't count mileage as a way to get around but the amount of time its take to get from one place to another.

So as another suggestion, check out Cycle Gear online as well and they have many stores in California for you to pick up your items.

Hi Damon,
the bikes in San Diego - I'm heading to Sturgis with a mate then into Canada and back down the coast.

I'm no longer a fan of Cycle Gear for riding gear. Nowadays they only carry their "in house" brands: BILT and Sedeci. It's mostly crap. Cheap prices but cheaply made, worst of the Cheap Chinese stuff, IMHO.
As most of us know ... there is so much more out there.
First Gear
Tourmaster
Alpinestar
Ikon
Rev' It
Fieldsheer
Dainese

and a ton more.

Chapparral is along the i-10 freeway. They will be heading EAST out of San Diego, so they are pointed pretty much straight to Chapparral in San Bernadino. Right off freeway. Motorcycle shopper's paradise.
It's like a CostCo store ... but ALL bike stuff.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
