Starting from Memphis
 

Hello

This is a bit of a cheat -- not a fully-fledged adventure trip (that starts later in the year) but a short break in the southern USA and a rented Harley Roadking for a week.

I pick it up in Memphis, by which time I'll already have driven a c*r down the Interstate to New Orleans and back up Highway 61/ blues highway/ Natchez Trace Parkway/ Arcadia... or bits thereof.


And I need to be within reach of Memphis for (incredible!) gigs on various days. So --- any tips, suggestions or experience on good roads or destinations around Memphis? (Tips for the best barbeque sauce in town also gratefully accepted...)
