selling foreign bike in USA
 

After posting the query I received a few, varying, reports on US requirements for selling foreign owned bikes. Now I can add details of my experience.
I sold my 1150 GSA in Idaho, still one of the least restrictive states in the union. It took all of 10 mins at the Blaine County Office in Hailey.
I had to sign a statutory declaration stating it was my bike, the buyer showed ID and that was that.
If I had tried to sell it in California I reckon I would still be there working thru' the paperwork!!....so it seems to be all about which state in which you do the deal.
So, that's the end of 15 months, 75,000 kms and 18 countries, LA-Ushaia-LA-Prudhoe Bay-LA.
