Seattle to Baja in January?!?

Has anyone done this trip at the specified time? Any tips for roads to avoid, or to take for that matter? Any information shared would be much appreciated!

More concerned about the southern WA state to northern CA route...

any specifics regarding winter riding along those routes or any info regarding the general weather/general road conditions in those areas?

Sorry for making the question longer.

Thanks in advance

There are dirt roads in many places and criss cross back and forth.

Roads south

Did the ride along the coast down to southern calif from washington some years ago. Depending on the year if you stay right on the coast you will have almost frozen rain and rarely snow. Once we got to below San Francisco the weather warmed. Really good rain gear and electricaly heated garmets and be ready for adventure.

Sorry for not being more specific at the original post, which is why I posted the follow up.

Bill, thanks for the info about the coast route. Heated gear will be a definite! Since I am used to other locales, I don't really know what to expect winter wise in the States. I haven't been here since 2001.

Once again, thank you to everyone that has replied and helped me!
