requirements for entering the states from mexico
 

i want to buy a motorcycle in nicaragua from another traveller. do i need to have my motorcycle licsence to enter into the states?i do have a colorado drivers licsence.

Gabriella-when you buy the bike,you will need to be sure that the registration,and original title are tranfered into your name.The paperwork must also clearly show the VIN number.This is very important since you will need Temporary Vehicle Import Permits to get thru Honduras,Guatemala,and Mexico.You may also have problems leaving Nicaragua if the bike was brought into the country with the previous owner's name on the permit.Small paperwork mistakes can create huge problems at the borders.
