Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events such as this one (18 this year!); we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, the HUBB or
to receive the e-zine. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and

Petition to remove Trucks from US129 (Tail of the Dragon)
Here is a link to a petition being circulated to remove transport trucks access from us 129 aka The Tail of the Dragon. If you have never been on this road, you are surely missiong out on the best road I have seen in North Amreica for all bikes. It is 11 miles filled with 318 curves, in the mountains.
The problem is that it is 1 lane each direction, with little or no shoulder available. Many times truckers driver it and they end up taking both lanes up and usually the shoulder if it is in that area. To further the danger, there is almost always a blind corner within meters/yards of you, and often double blind corners. There have been fatalities here, as well as very serious injuries.
I would like to request help from everyone here, to help rid this road of the dangers of transport trucks. They have aternate routes, its just this is the most direct so they take it to save time. Please fill out the petition if you agree. It doesnt matter where you live in the world, one day you may be riding this fantastic stretch of road.
