Nova Scotia Motorbike Rental/Hire

Looking for information for motorbike rental/hire in Nova Scotia, also what is the best time of year to visit. I was thinking about September, I would like to camp using my own camping gear.

Thanks

I went to NS last September, Ice and frost every morning, camping was cold, days were short. Just got back from 2 weeks in the maritimes, I was quite nice this time of year, decent temps, long days.

Days are no shorter in Nova Scotia during September than they are anywhere else: 12 hours day, 12 hours night on the euquinox late in the month. Longer days before that; longer nights after. It's the rules of the game, and can't be altered (or at least, not this side of the equator).

I've been up there late in September and seen horrendous heat, e.g., near 90F/32C, with sweat and bugs and all the rest....until it started raining and blowing and in other respects acting like autumn. Hard to predict in advance, but by the time the leaves are really turning you'll see some frost at night. If this offends, show up earlier. If not, it's very pretty in early October.

Hope that helps.

Mark

Yup, in my prior post I said cool in September, I remember the Oct of I believe in 2004, warm sunny, then a hurricane nailed NS dead on and cut power to most of the central part of the province. I believe that storm is why we now have high res aerial photos of the central part available for public viewing.

Weather up there is variable at best, manic at worst.

So, let your luck be your guide, all curves be free of gravel, and all RVs behind you!!!
