help- sick BMW in BC Canada

I'm on a RTW trip and my GS has developed a series of faults in the last few days, Im in Smithers BC at the moment, just got the bike rideable and limping on to Prince rupert where I'm plannng to get the ferry to Vancouver. Can anyone suggest a place in vancouver where I can rent a workspace for a while to do a few jobs on the bike and sort it out before I go any further. The address of a good BMW dealer would be appreciated too.
Thanks

Hi Paul, There are several BMW dealers in Vancouver, John Valk BMW, Pacific yamaha, and Shails motorcycles. The fist two are big dealers and good parts sources, while shails seems to be better at older beemers with good used parts. Shails moved last year while I was travelling and I am not sure where his new shop is... ( Powell street?) They should all be in the yellow pages phone directory. Cheers and good luck
P.S. The Horizons Unlimited Western meeting will be taking place at our home in Revelstoke, B.C. on September 5,6,7 If you could make it here I have a large garage and tools that you are free to use, but parts must be ordered and sent in by bus...

Paul,

Let us know when you get here and we'll see what can be sorted out. We will be at the HU Meeting Sept 3-8 or so. (See meetings link on left for details.)

thanks for the help. the problems I have are the front top stud on my cylinder head has pulled out. The stud had previously been repaired and had an insert fitted, and for some reason this has come out. I;ve had a new one made up and fitted in Smithers the stud is now holding fine but I can't seal it properly and the bike is pouring out oil, I think it is effecting the valve gear too. On top of that the fork oil seal has joined in the leak party...I need to get the bike indoors and give it a good going over. I am in Port rupert and waiting for the ferry to vancouver island. If i get on I will be there on monday,Vancouver city maybe wednesday if my valvegear holds up probably good timeing for the HU meeting

things are getting worse, the bike is now unrideable. the cylinder is vibrating itself of the bike pulling the cylinder studs with it. I'm stuck in Port Hardy, north vanvouver island and running out of ideas, I'd be grateful for any suggestions anybody has at the moment

Paul, leave us a phone number so we can contact you. I'm not sure who can help at this point.

Can you load the bike on a truck and get it south? There is someone in mid-island who MAY be able to help if you can get it closer.

I've contacted the Vancouver Island HU Community to see if anyone can help, but we need a contact #.

Stop riding it and truck it. Lots of Airheads on the island. I've contacted one with connections, time and space. He may be able to help out. Sounds like your motor is in serious need of repair by now ...
Phone #?
