Grand Canyon Camping
 

I`m heading for Vegas and then the grand canyon in a few days. Can anyone recommend a campsite (there are quite a few I know) and is it wise to pre-book at this time of year?

There's one on the north rim which was apparently fully booked when I was there in the summer however if you ask some of the campers if you can share a pitch, you'll usually get something. The staff don't seem to like you doing it but if someone lets you share their pitch, there isn't much they can do about it.

I stayed 3 days at the main campsite on the south rim(the north was still closed)

The sites were basic, but large enough for a few tents, showers and laundry outside the campground at the shop
