Zappa I will be in Vancouver from pm July 20 and leaving on am Saturday 22, first night out should be Lillooet, then the following in Kamloops etc.

Try the local community in Calgary, see the "Contact a Community" on the left hand side of the page and send them a message. There are three members there who have been very heplful to me.
Hope we can catch up somewhere!
Glen

Might be able to hit Vanbcouver around the 20th. I'm in Calgary at the moment and just managed to hit the Stampede.

We are gonna stay here until Sunday 16th and then head over to Vancouver. Which route we don't know yet but we are prolly gonna take a hit for the Rockies and go either via Jasper or via Golden/Revelstoke and then hit Highway 99. Not sure yet which way we will go but all I know is that we have to get the bike to the airport in Vancouver on the 30th and as it looks at the moment we have a place to stay in Vancouver. Don't know yet if it's a tentspot in the garden or if the house is OK to stay in, she is redoing the whole house so we might not be able to use the house...

But I let you know if we are gonna be in Vancouver around the 20th or anyway I'll put up our route as soon as we have agreed on it...

Cheers,
Zappa

OK, I'll try to have that in mind when we will plan our trip West. It might be tight but I'll try to squezze it in. If I would have been alone I would have made it without any problem since I've done between 350 - 650km /day so far and haven't had any booring moments (except for the now to be known flatlands)...

I'll let you know.

Sorry to say but we will not make it until the 21st since it's today and we are in Jasper and don't want to rush through the mountains "just" for a BBQ.

But we might be around Lilloet on the 22nd/23rd.

Of course we don't know where to stay there yet but I hope we can meet up there.

Cheers,
Zappa

If you get to Lillooet today we will be at BC Hydro Campsite which is about 6km south from Lillooet on the road to Whistler.

As far as I know we are the only MC people in there, and even if it's full in the campground I think we can squeeze you in on our spot.

Cheers,
Zappa

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
