Bike hire out of Los Angeles

Hi folks.

Me and Nicole are going to fly into LA late April and want to hire a bike for a two week trip taking in California, Arizona, Utah and Nevada. Ideally we'd hire the same bike we have at home - 2018 Honda Goldwing manual. It seems there are none for hire.

Do you have any leads on anywhere that would hire us one?
Failing that we'll hire a 1250 GS, but I'd rather not!

Any help gratefully received.

Thanks

If you haven't already done so, maybe try peer-to-peer services. I did this only once in LA, and found it worked out well. I'm sure there is someone out there who is offering a Goldwing, although to what extent it'll satisfy your longing for the same thing you ride at home is an open question.

I will say that on my long-ago trip I viewed this as an opportunity to try something new, not stick with the same old.

Hope that's helpful.

Mark

Thanks Mark.

The beauty of having the same bike is the ability to jump on and go. Modern bikes are quite complicated, and if possible I'd rather not have to learn a new bikes settings and nav functions.

I've looked at Ridershare options and not found a Goldwing. Looks like I'll rent a GS which I'm sure I'll enjoy, pillion experience won't be the same though.

Thanks

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
