Thanks for the link - looks interesting.

I didn't even try the TCAT this summer, because I met some guys on Newfoundland, who were out for it, on very lightly packed 450 enduros. We started talking about the trail and they scratched their heads when they saw my heavy KLR 650 with "heavy" packing (about 35...40kg of gear, was out for three months, so I did not to try it - also because I was on my own.

So the tip is: for the TCAT pack as light as possible and use a light bike!

But hopefully you will find someone here who can give you first-hand information.

Plenty of stuff on ADV - I did a fair whack of it this summer on fully loaded 990. No issues, I would even consider doing it 2 up.
