If you are a UK passport holder you will be eligible for the visa waiver system in both US and Canada - this will allow you to enter the US for 90 days as a tourist. Just mak sure that you have accomodation address when arriving.

However, if you have ever had any criminal convictions you will have to apply for a visa from the US embassy in the UK before leaving.

I would recommend having an address to be going to - when you fill out the visa waiver form it asks for an address that you wll be staying at whilst in the USA - if you leave this blank you may be answering more questions than you really want to at immigration. In any case it'salways a good idea to have somewhere to head for and rest up on your first day in a new country - chance to get your bearings..

If you want to see a visa waiver form then try here Travel to US - What to Expect in the Airplane

Just click on the link and it will bring up a sample visa waiver form.

you might want to check that your passports are of the latest type- as in those that contain the microchip.

Been into BWI (Baltimore) loads of times and actually shipped a bike from there back to the UK and then to there from the UK. Baltimore Airport is a piece of proverbial, very empty and quiet and dead easy to get out of. Baltimore docks however are real p in the a. It's a vast, flat area with high security and massive queues to get in. If you arrive anywhere near the time that the dock officials closing for lunch, forget it until after lunch ! Last year we flew into BWI and then rode across the USA, up to Alaska asnd back through the Canadian Provinces, fascinating. If there's anything we can do to help or any tips feel free to ask. Check out the website.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB.
