Should still be about £680.00 from Southampton and about CAN$120.00 to get it out in Halifax. Debbie at the Southampton office is very good with bikers and you can get a bus from outside the Int Hostel in Halifax almost to the autopark.

So, about 100GBP less than air freight ?

If the OP is in need of the bike to be there at the start f the trip, I'd suggest flying it.

Chris,
Think your edit may be missing a "w" if the email address is for WW in Southampton.

I'd like to rescind the suggestion about flying :-) , the cost is getting silly. I'll be shipping myself in less than 3 months.

So, any info/contacts about getting the bikes out of the port and places to stay will be useful as we are on a tight schedule time wise.

I normally deal with the airport paperwork myself, but I gather sea freight is not as straight forward ?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
