4x4 for the great white north

I know that this is the MC section of the BB, but it is also the best place for me to post this - I think:)

Due to some developing balance problems, I may be leaving the world of motorcycles, moving on to 4x4s for adventure touring.

I am planning to drive up to Inuvit next Summer. I will be purchasing a new 4x4 for the trip, and would appreciate some input from those who have been up in that region.

I'm 6'5", and am limited in what I fit in! Currently, I've narrowed it down to either the new Jeep Unlimited (stretch wheelbase Wrangler), or a Toyota Tacoma Extended Cab.

My question - which of these two vehicles have you seen the most of on the road or, more importantly, more DEALERS for in Northern CN??

TIA

I have lived in Inuvik for 28 years, and have two BMW's. Lots of both types of vehicles up here, but last dealer type for both vehicles will be in Whitehorse. We have a number of garages up here but none are dealers. Same thing in Dawson City, but most of the time vehicles do not break down. You can contact me if you need more information.
