using Tom Tom and TYRE

Hello All,

I'm planning a little trip around Europe and this year I've decided to buy a Tom Tom and program the route I want to follow directly into it. All is going well with that and I've not really had any problems. Well apart from two so far and they both seem to be the same.

I want to follow the road from Bruck down to Heiligenblut taking the Grossglockner pass

B107/Winklern to Glocknerstr. - Google Maps

But if you try to take this route google maps refuses to take the direct route and instead routes you the long way round. If you try to drag the points the route will just double back on itself and refuse to cross the border where you want it to.

I know I can just get the Tom Tom to guide me to the pass and then just follow the road from there, but it is one of those odd problems I would just like to understand more about!

The same is true of Aosta - Martigny crossing over Great San Bernado pass

Any ideas?

Cheers,
Simon
