poi loading csx 60
 

due to my charity ride in 2 wks i'm trying to upload the RNLI points of interest onto my csx60 garmin gps. i've downloaded the poi loader from garmin and the poi's from the RNLI site. now my troubles begin! i can start up the loader and it recognises my gps as connected but then it comes up and says, please select a directory where the data files can be found. i hit the browse button and the files are in my documents but when i take the browser there i cant see them!
is this because they are in a compressed zipped folder? if so how do i open it up? any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like that might be a factor. If the file extension is .zip you need to extract the files first. Use WinZip or similar to do so and then try again. You can download a trial version for free.

i seen the extract button but as i'm not confident with computers i did'nt hit it!
was playing with it last night (gps :lol: ) and bingo i got it!
right clicked on the compressed zip file and it offered an exract botton which i duly pressed! low and behold it opened the zipper and everything went smooth from then on! thanks for your replies.
