Output GPS Tracking to Website
Hello,
Interested to know the basic steps (if possible) to output GPS information (bascially to allow friends and family to follow location on the web) to a personal website? Any advice on hardware and software required would be appreciated. Regards, David Esther

It's still a little complicated to do this at present - but there are some sites set up that will do this for you - things like... grr can't find the link now let me look about.
Alternatively you can take the data from your GPS and put it on a map directly yourself... for example if you have a Tom Tom you can use http://www.webazar.org/tomtom/index.php to gather the data, then a conversion tool like ITN converter to turn it into a KML file for upload to Google Earth... http://flickr.com/photos/journeytoru...7600157222293/ Garmin outputs data in a variety of formats that will also let you do this. The problem with all these systems at present are the manual nature of the data entry - that's something I'm trying to solve at the moment. m
