hallo all travellers, i am looking for some maps for garmin gps or maybe your tracks on this route... from europe to vladivostok... could anybody help me?

Me too, planning similar route via Turkey & the Stans.

As yet not really found any suitable electronic maps.

I'd be happy with a link to download accurate and reasonable scale pdf scanned, but haven't even found that as yet !

i'll keep you posted with what I find, i trust you'll do the very same for me !

Marek / Phil,

you need to take a look a www.smellybiker.com.

I'm testing a worldmap for Bob (of SmellyB) that he is building.
He has been collecting non-copywrite maps and building them into a 3x3degree map tiles of the world.
Russia will be updated with some detailed city and area maps in the next release due in a week or 2.

I'm off to Goa in May and I'm plotting a route there using his maps. It wont be a routing map (a-la Tom-Tom) but it already has WAY more detail than you will find on the Garmin Worldmap.

Its £5 for membership to be able to DL the map set (304 megs) and be a beta tester.
