Looking for large waterproof map holder.
 

Just bought a spiral bound road atlas and found that it wont fit into my clear tankbag pocket. Don't reallly want to buy another tankbag. Anyone know where i can get a large map holder of some kind?

The atlas measures 30.5cm (approx 12") by 25cm (approx 10") by 2cm (approx 1")

What you need is an A3 document cover from Ortlieb. I got mine from Snow and Rock but I'm sure they're available elsewhere. I put my ringbound Scandinavia road map in there and strap it on top of my tankbag. It works great. I don't think anyone makes a tankbag that will take a "real" map so this is a good solution.

Paddle sport stores will carry them.

It is also possible to take atlas apart of binding and only use relevant pages in your existing map holder. You can fold pages to fit. Atlas of that size is probably quite heavy as well and you only use a few pages at a time. You can keep most of it in your luggage. ;)
