About the checkpoints. I think it would be helpful to see what kind of checkpoint is coming. If they will check papers, or search the fridge for food who isn't allowed to take through to / from the quarantine area.

Maybe same Icon with different colors would be handy..

How can I upload pictures when I add wildcamp/campsites/lodges Places?

This app is incredible! I'll be sure to use it in SA, and maybe even add to it. Nice work!

Jessica,

Is there any way to download the information and put into, say a Garmin GPS as Points of Interest, etc?

Cheers!

Great resource that will only get better if we users add new sites and clean up all the ones that haven't been revisited for several years. For every great site we find using this, we aim to add at least one new one.

Worth a small donation too to keep the site running

BTW Resist the temptation to add more and more complexity and more and more shades of meaning as the info soon gets to be just about useless. KISS rules.

Recently I did publish an Article about iOverlander and link them in many german communities about the topic Overlanding.

I hope it helps to let the Waypoint Database grow:

4x4tripping: iOverlander - Campsites, Wildcamps und andere Plätze

I did add some wildcamp spots from Iceland and Africa at the iOverlander Website, but have to add a lot more.

It is amazing to see how fast this Waypoint Database is growing. At I first time read this thread - and went to the website there was just the Panamericana route covered. Now Africa is covered and still growing.

Hope to see soon there also Waypoints from the Silkroad.

I will soon start the panamericana - will add many wildcamp spots I guess...

We are finding the app incredibly useful on our journey to South America and are adding locations as well as checking in and updating locations as we depart.

Thanks,

-Terry, Sandy, & Jack

Planning to use the Ioverlander app in a few days. I made a route in Maps.me, then checked in Ioverlander for potential camping spots. I saw there was one close to the route, and when I tapped for information I saw I could add the exact spot to Maps.me as a bookmark. Man, life can be easy

Good news everyone. We just released iOverlander for Android.

I just discovered this app from a traveler who stayed with me for a few days. He was a big believer.

I'll be using it mainly to find stealth campsites.

Thanks!
