Interfacing electronic maps to a Pocket PC PDA

Hello,

I've acquired a Panasonic Toughbook PDA running Pocket PC and started experimenting with maps calibrated for TTQV.

TTQV 3, being a PC based application, is great and I have no problems with that. But Pathaway, the PDA software they recommend for use with imported TTQV maps, is full of bugs, unstable, and generally pretty poor. Aditionally, Pathaway user support is next to useless.

My question is: do you know good and reliable PDA software which can be used with imported TTQV electronic maps? Should I forget TTQV and consider Ozi Explorer or Fugawi PC/PDA combo with their own maps?

Ozi Explorer does not come with any map/s. It does come in two versions - one for the PC the other for the pocket PC (windowes CE).

Sources of maps for Ozi Explorer is only limited by yourself (and some suppliers who won't supply in any format other than their own that suits their own software). You can scan in paper maps (I'm yet to try photographing them and using them that way - saves stictching several scans) and use them.

You can get limited versions of Ozi Explorer to try free off their web site.
